New sowing and knitting group at Meeting Point

knittingMeeting Point would like to set up a new sewing and knitting group. They have been given a sewing machine but are without material, wool, cotton and thread, fabric scissors, and knitting needles.

Meeting Point is based at Christ Church in Armley, Leeds and works with Refugees and Asylum Seekers. They aim to serve the needs of Refugees and Asylum Seekers regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, ability or legal status. Meeting Point principally aims to work with Refugees and Asylum Seekers towards social integration. They also provide a range of suitable community provisions in association with other organisations to meet the needs of their beneficiaries – whether health, employment, advice, family support or food provision. They also aim to reduce negative stereotypes and break down barriers in the local community.

If you have any sewing or knitting materials that you can let them have please contact them via their website.
