Reading through Luke (6)

The teaching of Jesus in chapter 6 is very challenging including teaching about the Sabbath, loving enemies and judging others. What do you find the most challenging and difficult teachings here?

  1. Jesus made people who were hurting feel better, but the Pharisees disagreed strongly with the way he went about it because they had strong opinions or judgments about the way in which worship should be conducted on the Sabbath. Which is more important?
    Which strong feelings might lie behind our criticisms or judgments of others?
    Maybe anger, fear or hurt?
    Which is it easier for us to express?
    Our feelings, or our opinions, criticisms or judgments?
