Bassoonery concert – March 5th

On Saturday we were right royally entertained by “Bassoonery”, a group of musicians who make “sounds that’ll make earthworms wriggle”! The group consists of David Buck on bassoon, Alison Mordey on violin, Robin Pennie on viola, Caroline Steer on cello and Richard Webster on violin. Together they produced some fantastic music spanning over 300 years including Mozart, Bizet, Tchaikovsky, Dukas, Fats Waller and Gorrell. In between pieces David entertained and informed us with stories about the music and the instruments as well as telling us all about wriggling earthworms!

The evening was in aid of Wheatfields Hospice and raised £ . A huge thank you to David and his friends, to all who came along to be entertained and to TRJFP@AH for providing such amazing food before the event and during the interval.
