Sunday 1 August – Pride Sunday

This coming Sunday at our 10:30am service we will be sharing in Leeds Pride Sunday 2021, celebrating the fact that God loves everyone but at the same time sharing the sadness and hurt that, as communities, we still don’t. Our service will be live in church (please book here so that we can maintain social distancing) and streamed on Facebook Live.

After the service there will hopefully be the opportunity to go as a group into Leeds City Centre to hand out stickers.

 Beautiful God
 who creates all that is,
you shape your church into a thing of beauty:
All your colours are here among us:
 passionate red flaming anger
 vibrant orange dancing sunshine
deep golden yellow, rich and full
 young, fresh and green
sad and blue, cool and distant
moody indigo, dark as the night
shy violet, quiet violet, forgotten violet.
God who puts colours into the rainbow,
paint with us, weave with us, plant with us:
 many colours, many hues,
one rainbow church and world.

(a reminder of Pride Past- and glimpse of Pride Future!)

Below is a copy of the liturgy that we will be using for the month of August – Pride Season!
