Christmas Day Dinner

A chance to share in God’s abundance as we eat a Christmas meal cooked up by chefs of all faiths and nations using food that has been rejected by our crazy food system and we share with many who would otherwise be alone or hungry at this time of feasting.

Praise God for Syria

Its amazing people and its amazing food 🙂

The BBC visit All Hallows!

Yesterday we were visited by a film crew from the BBC who were filming TRJFP @ All Hallows for Songs of Praise. The program is to be shown this coming Sunday afternoon so please do watch and let us know what you think of the project.

You can see some photos of the film crew and the cafe volunteers in action on the cafe website.

New cook book

Raja has written a recipe book of Syrian recipes which she is selling to raise money for the “give me a pen and I will give you peace” project which aims to raise money to send school equipment to refugee children in the north of Syria so that they can begin their education again. It is full of amazing Syrian recipes and stunning photos of the food.

If you would like to buy a copy then see Raja, contact Sarah or let us know via the website.

All that’s left of the cake!….

Inclusive Jelly babies

I received this picture in an email from Simon Sarmiento of Inclusive Church who preached at All Hallows last Sunday ‘Inclusive Church Sunday’ when we celebrated Inclusive Church’s 10th Birthday with a gorgeous cake made by Elaine Wilford, featuring these two giant jelly babies holding the 1 and the 0 of the number 10. When we’d all had our fill of cake (at least three-quarters of it!) we gave the remainder to Simon to share with friends. Thanks again Elaine for the brilliant cake (not that we’d expect anything less from the cake queen). And thank you Simon for your sermon last week – and for the pic of course. Have you eaten the jelly babies by now, I wonder?

Delicious Bites Cookery Group

Delicious Bites Cookery Group is a new local group meeting every Tuesday from 1pm-3pm at All Hallows. It has been started to help people to learn more about cooking and to learn new recipes. It will also be a great place to make new friends.
