Live at All Hallows – Magical Christmas Tree Tour

Sunday, December 2, 2012 from 7:00pm to 10:30pm
The Magical Christmas tree tour sees the combination of three great artists Maggie Boyle, Pete Morton and Chris Parkinson and a tree! Not just any old Christmas tree, but a very magical one. It makes these three unsuspecting folk performers do things they wouldn’t do the other eleven months of the year. After four successful seasons touring the UK, this December show is a festive treat, where the audience pick scrolls from the tree and make every night a unique occasion!
This is a high-flying combination: … a singer/ songwriter extraordinaire, a superb traditional singer and one of the folk scenes most sought-after instrumentalists. Pete, Maggie & Chris all excel in their own departments. Together they deliver a richly textured collection of vibrant new songs, beautiful old carols and stunning instrumentals plus all three voices in three-part harmony… and they have a great time doing it. Superb acoustic music!

Miriam Jones “Live at All Hallows”

Thursday 11th October at 7:30pm

The Live at All Hallows series of gigs returns for our autumn run. We start with a rare trip to Leeds for Canadian singer-songwriter Miriam Jones with support from Leeds’s own Flocks. Miriam is probably best known in the UK for her appearances at the Greenbelt arts festival. She’s passing through Yorkshire enroute home from Scotland and we jumped at the chance to host her.
Miriam has a way of singing the soul back home without putting it to sleep. Poppy and light? Yes. Soulful and reflective? Indeed. Folky and human? Absolutely.

Live at All Hallows

The next Live at All Hallows gig sees a visit from the Bradford-based folk-inspired indie band Wilful Missing with support from Wakefield’s Fran Smith.
