Pearl of Africa Children’s Choir

All Hallows was privileged to be able to host a concert by the Pearl of Africa Children’s Choir on Wednesday 10th October. The advertising said that the choir “will wow audiences with their mix of traditional African music, dance and drumming” and we were not disappointed! Although turnout was lower than hoped the choir treated us as if performing to royalty. The joy, passion, exuberance and energy of the choir was infectious and there were broad smiles all round. We managed to raise over £700 to support the choir. Here are just a few quotes from people:

  • “It was absolutely fantastic last night. The atmosphere was incredible and the choir were so happy. “
  • “It was such a privilege to have them with us, and to be declared royalty by Mr Gerry!!!! “
  • “The atmosphere was fantastic and the performance was brilliant, the joy and passion was infectious and did my back a power of good.”

Here are just a couple of highlights (and Vicar Steve wants one of those wigs!)
